The platform will be more than a WEB wrapper around KVM. It is intended to include VM lifecycle, a local cluster model, distributed management without one critical master, console-first access, BIOS and UEFI access, ISO attachment, templates, clone, restore, import, a guest agent for Windows and Linux, controlled commands, worker-based migration and balancing, administrator manual override, VM locking, licensing and placement restrictions, review/compliance items and detailed RBAC.
Digital Eco Systems plans a KVM-based virtualisation platform for managing virtual machines, nodes, networks, backup, migration and policy-driven placement.
Network fabric
Networking is an independent subsystem using:
vSwitch → Segment → Port → VM NIC
Network services such as VLAN, VPN, EoIP, routing, NAT, firewall and QoS are attachable objects connected to a switch, segment, port or another network object.
Digi Control integration
Digi Control provides the secure system control and transport layer between managed nodes. Data and authorised commands pass through authenticated protected channels rather than arbitrary direct access.
Storage separation
Storage is a separate platform and source of truth. The virtualisation platform invokes storage operations through a controlled API.
