Actors, categories, event chains, exports and retention.

What it covers

  • Audit records admin actions/denials, policy decisions, software, services, modules, remote commands, security changes, hardware cases and worker findings.
  • An actor can be a user, WEB session, dctl operation, worker or system component; details distinguish observation/recommendation/apply.
  • Operation/journal/server/module/case IDs link begin/plan/apply/complete/failure/recovery events.
  • Exports are immutable packages with scope, filters, time and checksums; retention is policy-controlled.

How to use it

  1. Filter by ID/object.
  2. Check the event chain.
  3. Expand technical details.
  4. Export for investigation/compliance.

Important rules

  • A worker event does not imply a human change.
  • Selective deletion to hide a problem is prohibited.
  • The archive preserves sequence proof.
