Digi Control documentation
Update, repair/reinstall and remove
Differences, risk preview and post-operation checks.
What it covers
- Update may target a package or permitted general scope; the plan shows upgrades, installs, removals, downgrades and reboot likelihood.
- Reinstall/repair places the package again for damaged files/incomplete installation, but does not replace data/config diagnosis.
- Remove starts with plan/dependency/module impact; dangerous core/system removal requires an exact token.
- After the operation verify final state, services, registry, reboot recommendation and journal.
How to use it
- Plan.
- Review core/system impact.
- Execute high risk in a maintenance window.
- Verify reconciliation.
Important rules
- An empty update target is a general update only if policy allows it.
- Remove hides the module; history remains.
- Exit code zero does not replace health checks.
