Digi Control documentation
Software and transactions — common lifecycle
The shared sequence from backend evaluation to audit/reconciliation.
What it covers
- Operations: search, install, update, reinstall/repair and remove; the target may be a package name, permitted local RPM or controlled bundle.
- Lifecycle: evaluate backend → resolve source → verify trust/signature → plan/preview → acquire lock → begin journal → execute → complete journal → registry reconcile → audit.
- Statuses: preview-completed, completed, blocked, failed and recovered-needs-admin-review.
How to use it
- Check the backend.
- Find the exact target.
- Run Plan.
- Execute after review.
- Check journal/reconciliation.
Important rules
- Do not blindly repeat a failed operation.
- Read error category, affected package, remediation and backend tail.
- Only one active transaction.
