Licensing, Trial, Grace and Hard Lock

Trial

During the initial demo period, the system may operate with enabled trial functions. The screen shows remaining days and the current effective mode.

Grace

After the 30-day demo period expires, DES may continue receiving mail and allowing access to existing data, but sending and outbound SMTP are stopped until a valid licence is activated.

Hard Lock

Under a stricter lock, only the functions needed to sign in and activate or recover licensing remain available, according to release policy.

Activation

From Admin → Modules → Activate/Replace License, enter the supplied licence key, issued-to, valid-until, licensed modules, limits and metadata only from a trusted source. After Save, verify:

• effective mode;
• SMTP on or off;
• licensed modules;
• valid until;
• last verified.

Do not manually manipulate dates or metadata to bypass enforcement.
