Reading, search and conversations

Message view

When opening a message, review From, To, CC, date, subject and visible security indicators. Do not open a suspicious attachment merely because the sender appears familiar.

Search

Open Search and enter a word or phrase. DES uses the message index and returns results from the current authorised mailbox context. If the query is too broad, add part of the subject, an address or a distinctive term.

Threads

When messages share a thread, open Thread for a chronological view. This helps follow a decision or conversation, while every message remains an independent object with its own headers and attachments.

When no result is found

Check the folder, mailbox context, spelling and whether the message was moved to Spam or Quarantine. Older imported data may require an administrator to rebuild the search index.
