Spam and Quarantine

Spam

Spam is a folder for unwanted or low-trust messages that a user may review. Marking a message as spam helps classification and moves it according to policy.

Quarantine

Quarantine contains messages held by a security or policy decision. They must not automatically be considered safe. Review sender, reason and available evidence before choosing Approve.

Actions

• Approve/Release — releases the message to the permitted folder.
• Delete — removes the held record according to retention rules.
• Move — changes the folder when the operation is allowed.

When to escalate

For suspected malware, phishing or incorrect blocking, do not release messages in bulk. A system administrator should review the Security screen, mail flow trace and audit events before changing policy.
