Webmail — main navigation
Finding your way around mail, quick access to core functions and the current mailbox context.
Main screen
After sign-in, Webmail shows the current mailbox, the message list and navigation to Compose, Sent, Search, Spam, Quarantine, Rules, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Identities, Sharing and Audit, depending on enabled modules.
Before performing an action, verify the current mailbox name. In Proxy mode you may be working in another user's or a team mailbox context.
Typical workflow
- Open Inbox and review unread messages.
- Use Search when the mailbox is large.
- Open the message and verify sender, recipients and attachments.
- Reply using the correct identity.
- Flag or move the message according to your process.
States
DES stores read/unread state, flags and folder placement. These states are also used by IMAP clients. If a message looks different in two clients, refresh the list and confirm that both clients are using the same mailbox.
