Troubleshooting workers and migrations

Responding to a stale job, repeating failures and incomplete import.

Worker has no heartbeat

Check the specific systemd service, process state, database connectivity and latest log. Do not release a lease until you are certain the previous worker is not still running.

Job repeats one error

Stop bulk retry. Open one item and review source path, mailbox mapping, permission, format and quota. Correct the shared cause and test only the failed item.

Migration completed but data does not match

Compare source count, imported count, failed count, folders, flags, dates, checksums and attachments. Completed means the job lifecycle ended; it does not automatically mean business acceptance.

Stale recovery

After confirming the worker stopped, use Recover Stale, start the service and monitor the first claimed items. Check for duplicate processing before a full Resume.
