Digi Email Systems — complete guide

Practical documentation for everyday use, administration, mail flow, security, migration and recovery.

Who this guide is for

This documentation is intended for end users, domain administrators, system administrators and Digi Email Systems (DES) operators. It explains how to work with the system through Webmail, the administrative WEB interface and operational screens.

DES is a modern mail server and work environment. It manages domains, users, personal and team mailboxes, identities, signatures, contacts, calendar, tasks, rules, security, SMTP/LMTP/IMAP, migrations, audit and Nextera integration.

DES is under active development. The availability of a specific screen or action depends on the installed release, enabled modules and the current user's permissions.

Quick choice

  • To read and send mail, start with Webmail and folders.
  • To create a domain or mailbox, see Domain and mailbox administration.
  • For a delivery problem, use Mail Flow, queues and trace.
  • To move from another system, see Migration planning and execution.
  • For spam or a blocked message, see Spam, Quarantine and Security Engine.
  • For routine checks, follow the Daily administration runbook.

Core principle

Administrative privileges do not automatically grant permission to read another user's mail. Content access is granted separately through sharing or delegation, and every use is audited.
